Hello and welcome to all that are part of #thewhittlefam. We have been the gals behind #TheWhittleExperience that you may have seen at many of the conventions that Ricky has attended.
We are proud to be part of FANdemoniumNetwork.com. I am Jenn, the founder of FN, and one of Ricky’s biggest fans and supporters. I wanted to get Ricky’s name out there more and help to promote him in all his endeavors. So I thought it was only fitting to talk about and explain what #TheWhittleExperience is.
I met Ricky Whittle at a convention a few years back after being a fan of his, from Mistresses, where he played Daniel Zamora. Or maybe I became a fan of his when I saw Austenland, or was it The 100? I know my admiration for him was solidified when he was cast as Shadow Moon, in the Neil Gaiman book to series American Gods on Starz.
What became a chance meeting a convention has been a global campaign that is known as #TheWhittleExpereince. When you go to most conventions, you can get a quick selfie, and an autograph and you are blissfully happy for maybe 30 seconds. Ricky goes way longer than your average star. He gives you ‘The Whittle Experience”. When you go up to stand in line (and yes there are ALWAYS lines) to get to meet Ricky his only focus is on YOU. It doesn’t matter how many people are in line or anything, his only focus is you. He greets you with his warm and lethal smile, and of course a hug. And if that is all you can do (those are free) I am guarantee you will still leave happy and satisfied. However, if you go for the FULL Whittle Experience you can have so much more.
You get an autograph, and a “selfie.” I say selfie, but it’s really like a mini date with you and Mr. Whittle. He takes hold of your camera and just goes to town with you. I’d say there is a minimum of 5, and goddess only knows how many have been the max of photos taken.
In that time you are with him, he makes you smile, he listens to you, and you are his only focus. It is heaven right here on earth.
Ricky is the most positive and genuine person you can ever meet. We are happy to be part of the #TheWhittleFam and the OFFICIAL Street Team, to bring you all #TheWhittleExperience swag to a convention near you.
